If you're a government employee in Kerala, India, you won't have to worry about your salary getting cut thanks to a new rule.
From Aug.
1, the biometric "punching" process will be delinked from the payroll software, so employees' salaries won't be slashed, the Times of India reports.
According to the Hindu, the biometric punching system was launched earlier this year in an effort to prevent employees from showing up late and leaving early.
