A Pennsylvania county has applied for $1.5 million in state grant funding to help hundreds of people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness find permanent housing.

Montgomery County's application for the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement Fund was approved by the county commissioners last month, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
