The county's Health and Hospital System includes three hospitals, more than 20 clinics, and a public health department, and Turk oversees a 220-strong team with a budget of more than $140 million, reports the San Jose Mercury News.

He's also achieved prestigious HIMSS Stage 7 status for all three hospitals, a feat accomplished by only 8% of US hospitals.
