It's not every day you get the chance to present your research to a panel of judges, but that's exactly what Idaho State University's Tracy Collum did on Wednesday.
The interim dean of the graduate school announced the winners of the university's annual Research and Creative Works Symposium, which featured more than 140 undergraduate and graduate students from across the university's campuses in Pocatello and Meridian, the Times-News reports.
The winners were announced at a 6:15pm awards ceremony, which featured a keynote speaker, Spanish professor Cathleen Tarp, and a $1,000 cash prize for each student who took home the top prize in one of three categories: undergraduate/PharmD, oral presentation, or creative works.
The Times-News notes that in past years, award-winning research has come from all categories: biology, business, health sciences, education, and more.
